Proposals concerning woods essential for musical instruments will be discussed at the next CITES CoP, to be held from 24 November to 6 December 2025.
An international group of musicians and conductors has warned of the risks to musical life in an opinion piece published in *Le Monde* on 15 October, whilst reiterating its commitment to the protection of forests and biodiversity.
