Leo Genet
Double bass player

The orchestra has fascinated Léo Genet from an early age. He has participated in several academies such as that of the Orchestre National de Lyon, the Orchestre Français des Jeunes and the European Union Youth Orchestra.

He obtained two masters, at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon in the classes of Bernard Cazauran and Cédric Carlier, and then at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in the class of Olivier Thiery and Rick Stotijn. Learning these two different musical aesthetics allowed him to enrich and expand his instrumental expression.Substitute within the main French and Dutch orchestras, regularly invited at the Budapest Festival Orchestra, Léo Genet also likes to play with smaller ensembles. The Rencontres Musicales Internationales d'Evian, the Seiji Ozawa International Academy, the Orchestre National d'Auvergne or the GoYa Quartet Amsterdam allow him to explore a wide variety of musical styles.
