Christopher Schaeffer

Born in Le Mans in 1958.

Christophe Schaeffer studied at the National School of Mirecourt, section Archèterie, he was the pupil of Bernard OUCHARD.

In 1978, Christophe won the Gold Medal at the 6th International Competition of the "Violin Society of America", La Jolla, USA.

Wishing to devote himself exclusively to creation, Christophe SCHAEFFER settled and worked in Avigon, exclusively for Philippe Dupuy (Eugène SARTORY's grandson), lurhier in Paris.

Inspired by Eugène SARTORY, Christophe SCHAEFFER creates his own models.

His definition of the bow:

« Simple solidification of thought. It has the straightness and suppleness of a diving board, the one that pulls us back into the initial innocence, the beautiful part of the child in us, that we could finally call style » Ch. SCHAEFFER
